Caption Contest Winner news and rugby zulus

The last Caption Contest went pretty well. I had a lot of responses concerning the four interesting photos I threw up for you all to use to give me a new nickname. There was a lot of speculation as to which person I was in two of the photos, and that would make a huge difference as to the nickname with which you adorned me. Having identified myself in each of the four photos, after the deadline for entry submissions, I love the responses to each of the photos. Some of the suggestions were Cuppy, Pidasstrian, Stu-Pid-Ass (twice) and Stewey.

My choice of awarding this weeks prize goes to Drama Mama for her submission of Stewey. I will therefore add Stewey to the long list of other names people have and still do call me. Drama Mama joins, Angie, Wendy, myself and Melissa in the past winners circle. I do want to give an honorable mention to Jennifer P., who coined the name Cupsy for me. Any of you that saw the third photo of me in that post can understand. As unpleasant as it may sound considering, it too would be one that I would wear with pride. I will take into account any input the past winners want to give for future selections of the top honor for any of the future Caption Contests, I know who you are so just leave any suggestions in the comments. I want to thank all who have stopped by to play or even just to give some comment love. Keep coming back and, please, spread the word; the more playing the better. And as a parting gift I give to you a picture of the rugby tradition called "zuluing"! But if Becky's Top Ten List came with a picture of all her top ten choices zuluing, you girls would probably never leave her site!! And I laugh that some of the guys are still wearing their cleats. Drama Mama please leave a list of three CDs and an address to mail one of them. You can leave it in the comments or email it to me, your choice. Look tonight for today's new Caption Contest photo!! God Bless!

Hmmm. If I had a little bum like this, I'd run around naked too.

And, uh, nope. That's not my caption entry. In fact, I'm so completely unimaginative that I'm passing on that one.

Love the picture though. Are you in this one too? lol

Oh, yeah. And I love the whole messing with people's minds thing! Knowing my luck, though, my kids will immediately stick me in a nursing home the very second I lose my car keys. And that would be no fun.

STEEEEWEYYY! Thank you~ Thank you~ Thank you~for choosing ME as the winner! I totally deserved it...since I was up until the wee hours of the morning studying those pics with a magnifying glass...trying to figure out which ones in the bottom 2 were you. LOL! I did not get the Childhood Family of 900 kids pic right...but o-well.

I will email you my address so that you can stalk me...I mean send me my prize! :) KIDDING! You should know by now that I am also a Stu-pid-ass at times. ~Qui Qui (stalking could be a good thing..with everything else going on in my life) :)

"Every Woman's Dream"

So, do we call you "stewey" now?? Or Stu? Or "the real name" (spelled backwards of course)

Rhonda, that photo was a freebie. Just sorry it wasn't Patrick Dempsey, Ryan Seacrest and the rest of Becky's top ten. And the first rugby tournament I took my daughter to, the St. Louis womens team zulued around Zilker Park in Austin. She giggled. We all clapped and cheered.

Kids who dump their parents in a nursing home suck (unless medical reasons prevail, which I do understand because that is different).

Playing the age card is totally acceptable for parents, considering everything we all did as teenagers.

Drama Mama, we KNOW which one you were "studying", lol; but saying you used a magnifying glass just hurts!! ;)

Diane and Melissa, you are welcome. Call me what you like, but if you use my real name; please, spell it backwards. Thanks.

To all the other ladies, if you liked those, just wait....there are some professional rugby teams with their own calendars printed of the players with strategically placed rugby balls. I don't swing that way, but WHOA, I wish I still had that physique.

Oh, and I am not one off those guys in the photo. That is the Paris, France professional team celebrating the opening of their new stadium a few years back.

Taking photos at a zulu session can be detrimental to your health (kind of like taking pictures at a bachelor/bachelorette party). It is just frowned upon.

LMAO!! Oh..Stewey..let me be more clear. I did NOT need a magnifying glass on certain parts of picture 3 (no pun intended) hee hee! Good Times!

And whats up with the backwards spelling of your name that Melissa referenced?? I am totally confused...?

Stu Pidasso said...

I revealed my entire name in one of the recent posts, but it was spelled completely backwards. I am trying to dodge the search engines. My daughter already found me, and I don't want some others to do the same. She used my nickname to find me, smart little filly!!

NEVERMIND Stewey...I just figured it out! Duh?? Your secret is safe with me...! I think I need to be more cautious in my blogging..I have WAY too much information on mine. I think I will change my name to Quita.

Stu Pidasso said...

Quita sounds good. Too many wierdos out there for my taste. I have an 18 year old niece who just puts all her stuff out there for anyone to see. Drives me crazy. I wonder if her parents know??

I have just one question. How often do these zulus occur? Does this mean rugby isn't exactly a "family" sport? :)

Wait a minute.....are we supposed to put a caption to this one?

Also, thanks for the link yesterday to the different poetry forms......will come in handy for one of Mama Kats prompts for Thursday.

The Zulu is a tradition observed by most rugby clubs, both mens and womens. On the weekend a player scores their first points for a new club, they must "zulu". The teams sing a zulu warrior song, complete with lyrics and verses, to the new scorers as they strip down and streak a predetermined route (be it at a bar, a house, a bonfire, etc....). At the end of the route, usually, everyone is waiting for them to return where and when they are showered with beer and praise. Most rugby parties save these types of events for after the departure of small children and men and women with low constitutions....most.

No caption on this one. I'll post later tonight.

And I am working on my Assignment (which I chose to accept) as we speak (I'm talented in the multi-tasking area).

Some people zulu with the newbies just for the sheer fun of getting butt-naked and running around....case in point, the French pro team in the picture. Those zany french people!! I have been known to do such (no surprise judging from my picture posted). In fact, I was present in downtown Dallas when, inexplicably, we found ourselves in the company of fifty to sixty men, butt-naked in The Blarney Stone (a local rugby bar), as if nothing were out of the ordinary.

Award for you at my place... come and get it.
